Registration through MnWS only - call (651) 437-9327 or email: s.m.zinschlag@att.net
Shirle Bedient used to live in Minnesota, and her workshops always filled quickly, because she is such a great instructor. Now living in Florida, we have the pleasure of welcoming her back to teach us a great workshop. You may have seen her book, Flowers: Special Effects, published by Walter Foster Books. It is filled with fun and easy ways to make your flower paintings stand out from the rest! In this workshop, students will begin with simpler watercolor techniques and move on to mixed media. Some of the mediums used will be gesso, matte medium, watercolor and colored pencils. Shirle’s paintings are filled with saturated dense color that pastel and acrylic can give. She likes the excitement of creating collage and assemblage pieces with items that others would have thrown away. She enjoys the challenge and exhilaration of exploring all these techniques and creating “one of a kind” paintings. To see more of Shirle’s paintings, check out her website, www.shirlebedient.com.
