This well-known and well recognized cartoonist has made us snicker and smile about the many trials, tribulations, and out right absurdity of our U.S. political landscape. In this exhibition, however, the subject will be everyday people and even animals in touching and hilarious settings that will surely make you laugh out loud. In conjunction with this exhibition Mr. Sack will give a Gallery Talk about his art, his process and the life of a professional cartoonist.

Memories in Wood
Dates: July 30-September 18, 2009
Artist: Lyle Fitzgerald

Lyle Fitzgerald is an 82 year old former middle school teacher from Ames, Iowa. He is a self taught artist who, despite the 50% loss of use of his right hand, began exploring layered three-dimensional wood art eight years ago. The wonderfully colorful compositions have an illustrative feel and reflect a simpler time. This show is sure to please and inspire us all.
