Would you like to see your child perform in a Shakespeare play? With a developed and proven curriculum that makes the words and stories of William Shakespeare fun and easy to understand, students will divide into three even age groups (grade school, middle school, and high school) to work with professional Twin-Cities actors/directors to stage a short version of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Your child may play one of the magical sprites from the fairy kingdom, a comical mechanical, or one of the romantic characters of the Athenian court. During the Camp Shakespeare performance weekend (which is free and open to the public) students will perform A Midsummer Night’s Dream in the outdoor amphitheatre on the campus of Bloomington Civic Plaza. They will also participate in a special appearance by The Strange Capers, a Shakespeare company comprised of professional actors and students from the University of Minnesota/Guthrie Theatre BFA Actor Training Program. Space is limited, so reserve a spot for your dramatically-inclined child today! Partial scholarships are available.

Students will explore the world of printmaking - creating images through repetition and transfer of paint and ink.
